Fascinated with photography, alongside my sketch-book, I never parted with a camera since my early childhood days. I always loved excursions and expeditions. The originality of thoughts and wealth of interests never failed to provide me with colourful and captivating experiences, constantly bringing new ideas and actions. For two decades now I have been travelling around Africa, documenting a vanishing world with a brush and camera - painting and photographing nature and people, fascinating animals, carefree playing children, beautiful women and magnificent warriers. On many occasions I have witnessed the most fantastic colourful ceremonies, but then there have also been tragic tribal feuds. I have traversed the savannas replete with wild animals. I have slept in a hammock in the tropical jungles – an impenetrable tangle of lianas, ferns, filled with mysterious sounds and the most bizarre insects. I have counted the drops of morning dew in the desert and icicles at the summit glacier of Mt. Kilimanjaro. I have sat on pristine beaches void of human presence, marvelled at colourful shells on the Indian Ocean coral reefs, plunging into its turquoise waters. I walked with kings and queens, met with witch doctor’s, and experienced the hospitality of countless Zulus and Masai. I have tracked leopards, following closely on their fresh spoor down a sandy path and have rejoiced my eyes with the sight of endless fields of vibrant flowers, which may as well have been a reflection of the paradise lost.
